A new office is a fresh start. In Singapore, opening day often comes with a few time-honoured traditions: a ribbon to cut, a lion dance to bring good luck, and a book for guests to sign.
On 30 October 2026, DCH Auriga Singapore officially opened its new office at Perennial Business City. Pixel Party SG supplied the ceremony essentials: the lion dance, ribbon and scissors, red carpet, rope queue poles, and the guest signing book and reception table.
As a corporate event planner in Singapore, Pixel Party SG specialises in grand openings, product launches and corporate milestones. Here is how the opening ceremony came together.
- Client: DCH Auriga Singapore
- Occasion: official opening of their new Singapore office
- Date: 30 October 2026
- Venue: Perennial Business City, Singapore
- What we supplied: lion dance, ribbon and scissors, red carpet, rope queue poles, signing book and reception table
1. A Red-Carpet Welcome and Signing Table

Guests arrived along a red carpet to a reception signing table dressed in red. Each guest wrote a message of congratulations in a red signing book with gold pens.
A signing table does two jobs. It gives guests a clear first stop when they arrive, and it leaves the host with a keepsake of everyone who shared the day.

2. The Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

DCH Auriga’s leaders and distinguished guests lined up in front of the company sign for the official ribbon cutting. Gold rope queue poles held the red ribbon, with a bow between each pair of poles so every VIP had their own section to cut.
What makes a ribbon cutting look good on camera:
- One ribbon section and pair of scissors for each VIP
- A red carpet to frame the line-up
- Rope queue poles to keep the ceremony area neat
- The company sign or logo clearly in the background
3. Eye-Dotting: Awakening the Lions

Before the lion dance began, guests of honour dotted the lions’ eyes with a brush. This eye-dotting ritual is believed to “awaken” the lions so they can bring blessings to the new office.
Our performers guided each guest through the ritual, so it felt easy and natural for everyone taking part.
4. The Lion Dance and Plucking the Greens

Two lions then performed for colleagues and guests inside the new office. The highlight was “plucking the greens”, where the lions take the greens as a symbol of good fortune for the business.

5. Couplet Scrolls for an Auspicious Start

To close the performance, the lions unrolled a pair of red couplet scrolls in front of the hosts. The scrolls carried wishes for smooth sailing and prosperity, a fitting message for a new chapter.
